Norway Post is strengthening its position in the Nordic region logistics market with the acquisition of the Swedish logistics company, Ekdahls Åkeri.

As at 30 September 2012, Norway Post’s operating profit before non-recurring items and write-downs was 21 per cent higher than at the end of the third quarter last year. The Group is increasing its focus on Sweden and e-commerce.

Bring has been chosen as the supplier of logistics services for Statoil’s operations on the Norwegian continental shelf. The contract is valid for 4 years and may be extended by up to 6 years.

Norway Post and Bring are working with the industry to influence the Swedish authorities to quickly re-introduce the former weight limits.

Norway Post has had a good start to 2012. The first quarter results show higher revenues and earnings.
